Transaction exposure includes large and complex funding situations, with cumulative deal sizes exceeding £200m across bank and structured credit contexts. Many of these involved situations where the initial lending institution was unable to proceed, requiring careful repositioning and engagement with alternative capital providers.

I operate across the full lending market rather than representing any single institution or product set. Engagements are not restricted to a specific lender panel, allowing access to banks, private credit funds and alternative providers active in the relevant segment.
Compensation structures are agreed at the outset of an engagement and are not linked to promoting one lender over another. The focus is on aligning structure and lender selection with the funding requirement and credit profile.
Many businesses begin a funding process with their existing bank. While that can be appropriate, it may limit exposure to a broader range of capital providers. Access to the wider market can materially influence how a transaction is assessed and which structures are available.
Similarly, different lenders operate with different product capabilities and credit appetites. The process begins by defining the funding requirement and structural parameters before engaging lenders active in that specific category.


I have a lender's perspective
A credit-side background provides insight into how financing transactions are assessed within lending institutions. Many management teams have limited visibility into internal credit processes, lender segmentation, product constraints or structural expectations.
Funding markets can be complex. Variables such as lender appetite, data presentation, pricing parameters, covenant structures and documentation standards differ significantly across institutions. Without familiarity with these differences, transactions may be misaligned with the relevant credit criteria.
Management teams are rightly focused on operating and growing their businesses. Financing processes require a different skill set — coordination, structuring discipline and engagement with lenders and advisers. My role is to support that process, allowing leadership teams to remain focused on day-to-day operations while the funding workstream is managed in a structured and coordinated manner.
